The Royal Meteorological Society plays a key role in supporting the science and the profession of meteorology. This meeting will focus on the field of meteorology and those who work, study and have an interest in the topic taking a closer look at both the science and the profession.

Meteorology is an interdisciplinary subject that is integrated with, and impacts on, many other areas of science, medicine, art, history, humanities, engineering, social science as well as sectors such as energy, transport, agriculture, utilities, insurance, retail, leisure, and construction. The Presidential Address will take place as part of the event. This meeting will celebrate both ‘meteorology’ and ‘meteorologists’.

It is 25 years since the Royal Meteorological Society launched the Chartered Meteorologist, five years since the launch of the Registered Meteorologist and in 2019 we will re-launch the Society’s Fellowship. The Society’s Annual Awards and Prizes for will also be presented during the afternoon. So join us as we commend our science and profession.

The Society’s AGM will take place during the afternoon and the event will be followed by a drink's reception.
