The Society holds regular conferences where the meteorological community can present their latest work and science. We hold a range of conference throughout the year, catering for the professional, amateur and student community's.

The annual conference is for the whole meteorological community and is held in various places throughout the UK. The aim is to bring together academics, practitioners and industry to exchange knowledge and ideas in science and allowing valuable networking opportunities for delegates. During this conference, we also invite keynote speakers from around the world and these are scientists who are renowned in their fields.

Since 2003 we have held a conference for our student and early career scientist community and this is held every year, again in various venues throughout the UK.

The final conference held by the Society is for the Amateur community. This event is for people who love weather, are enthusiastic about Meteorology and want to network with like-minded individuals.

The conferences are a mixture of science and social activity and are extremely popular and well-attended. There are several sessions of talks and sometimes workshops and other meetings. There is also an opportunity to network with colleagues and new acquaintances. Social events often include dinners, drinks receptions and other tours or quizzes.
